Our experienced healthcare providers are trained specifically in caring for kids of all ages and understand that a child’s needs are very different from an adult’s. Meet Our Providers

Jody Whitelock, MD

Dr. Jody Whitelock is a Pediatrician with years of experience. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M, she studied medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and completed her residency training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital/UAMS Pediatric Residency. Dr. Whitelock worked for the Monterey Peninsula Pediatric Medical group for 4 years, and has been with Pediatric Urgent Care since 2014.

She cherishes the time she gets to spend with her patients, appreciating their fun and resilient nature. In her free time, Dr. Whitelock enjoys spending time with her family, reading a book, gardening, paddle boarding, and hiking. As for her Northern Colorado patients, she hopes they all get to go camping and experience the beauty of the outdoors.

Madison Rich, PA-C

Madison Rich, PA-C brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team as a dedicated pediatric provider at Pediatric Urgent Care of Northern Colorado. She completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University before pursuing her PA degree at Rocky Mountain College. During her clinical year, she had the opportunity to enhance her skills in pediatrics through an additional rotation at Texas Children’s Hospital and joined the Pediatric Urgent Care team in 2022.

Madison’s favorite part of working with her patients is building meaningful connections and bringing smiles to their faces, even during difficult times. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and climbing, as well as traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Chauna Scanga, PA-C

Chauna Scanga is not a new face to the Pediatric Urgent Care team. She is a valuable and seasoned provider that has provided top-notch care for patients and their families at The Youth Clinic since 1999 and transitioned over to the Pediatric Urgent Care in the fall of 2023.

She grew up in Wyoming and attended Montana State University, and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University and her Certificate in Child Health from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Chauna is licensed by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners and Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

When Chauna isn’t caring for (and being entertained by) her patients, Chauna enjoys riding horses on her small farm and showing livestock and horses.

Mary Baker, PA-C

Mary Baker, PA-C, joined The Youth Clinic in 1997 right after graduating from Physician Assistant school. She is a native Coloradan who received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University), and her certificate in Child Health from the Child Health Associate Program (CHAPA) through the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Mary is licensed by the Medical Board of Examiners and certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.

When she isn’t caring for her patients, Mary and her husband Geoff spend a lot of time watching their 15 year old daughter play soccer. She also enjoys reading, taking her young dog for walks, traveling, and spending time with family.

Mary loves being able to watch her patients change and grow through many different stages of life, and she also likes to see how their parents change and grow. She considers it a privilege to be let into a family’s life and to be able to help guide them through different journeys along the way.
