Summer Rise in Cases and Maintaining Precautions
During the summer months and in the early fall, Colorado has seen small upticks in COVID-19 cases. Although the precise reason for the summer rise is not entirely understood, waning immunity and people spending more time indoors to avoid heat could contribute to increased case numbers.
To mitigate the ongoing risk, vaccinations should be up to date, and COVID-19 precautions should be maintained, such as handwashing and wearing masks in crowded indoor spaces. Quick action to address symptoms, testing when necessary, and staying home when sick contribute to reduced transmission rates.
