Our experienced healthcare providers are trained specifically in caring for kids of all ages and understand that a child’s needs are very different from an adult’s. Meet Our Providers

Jody Whitelock, MD

Dr. Jody Whitelock is a Pediatrician with years of experience. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M, she studied medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and completed her residency training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital/UAMS Pediatric Residency. Dr. Whitelock worked for the Monterey Peninsula Pediatric Medical group for 4 years, and has been with Pediatric Urgent Care since 2014.

She cherishes the time she gets to spend with her patients, appreciating their fun and resilient nature. In her free time, Dr. Whitelock enjoys spending time with her family, reading a book, gardening, paddle boarding, and hiking. As for her Northern Colorado patients, she hopes they all get to go camping and experience the beauty of the outdoors.

Koy Ecton, PA-C

Koy Ecton, PA-C has a passion for caring for the next generation and is honored to be trusted with that role. She went to the University of Colorado Boulder for her undergraduate degrees and then completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. She is a Fort Collins native who has a long history with The Youth Clinic and Pediatric Urgent Care of Northern Colorado, including working here during the clinical phase of her PA education. 

Koy’s favorite thing about her patients are the stories and joy they share. She strives to earn their trust and make them as comfortable as possible, no matter the reason for their visit. Outside of work you can find Koy coaching tennis, reading, cooking, or hanging out with her dog!

Madison Rich, PA-C

Madison Rich, PA-C brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team as a dedicated pediatric provider at Pediatric Urgent Care of Northern Colorado. She completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University before pursuing her PA degree at Rocky Mountain College. During her clinical year, she had the opportunity to enhance her skills in pediatrics through an additional rotation at Texas Children’s Hospital and joined the Pediatric Urgent Care team in 2022.

Madison’s favorite part of working with her patients is building meaningful connections and bringing smiles to their faces, even during difficult times. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and climbing, as well as traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Chauna Scanga, PA-C

Chauna Scanga is not a new face to the Pediatric Urgent Care team. She is a valuable and seasoned provider that has provided top-notch care for patients and their families at The Youth Clinic since 1999 and transitioned over to the Pediatric Urgent Care in the fall of 2023.

She grew up in Wyoming and attended Montana State University, and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University and her Certificate in Child Health from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Chauna is licensed by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners and Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

When Chauna isn’t caring for (and being entertained by) her patients, Chauna enjoys riding horses on her small farm and showing livestock and horses.

Devin Staniar, CHA/PA-C

Devin Staniar is a Physician’s Assistant with a heart for the underserved pediatric population. She completed her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University, and received her graduate PA degree from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She been with the Pediatric Urgent Care of Northern Colorado for the last 7 years.

Devin is grateful for the opportunity to be a support for her patients and their families when things get stressful. She understands that having a sick or injured child can be difficult, and she loves helping families through those times. Devin Staniar spends time reading and teaching children at local elementary schools, if she’s not doing that, you can find her skiing, hiking, or crafting, listening to music the whole time. As for her Northern Colorado patients, she hopes they can experience the sights and smells of a beautiful Colorado meadow after a spring rain.
